An A1 Class Government Road contractor from the northern part of India was recently awarded a 26kms road project to be executed at 3 different sites.
At one site, which was a 9kms stretch, they were facing difficulties in meeting their aggregates requirements.

Considering the geographical terrain and the demand for aggregates, they had deployed a small crusher at their project site to produce GSB, WMM and asphalt size aggregate material.

Capacity of the small crusher unit was a constraint, and the nearest local crusher unit was located approximately 70kms from the project site.

They decided to crush on their own aggregates directly at site with their existing excavator and MB Crusher’s attachment.

 They are now independent for aggregates at all 3 sites with 30+% savings on material cost.

Availability of trucks to transport crushed aggregates to remote project sites is increasingly scarce. Often times, customers have to arrange their own transportation to get the material to their project site. This creates inconsistency and cost escalation.

Ever since the purchase of MB Crusher Bucket BF90.3, which is mounted on JCB JS205 excavator, they are sourcing the boulders nearby and are able to produce GSB and WMM at site.

Availability of GSB and WMM is no more a concern as they are independent at their project site.

They are still using their small crusher to meet their asphalt requirements. They are also saving huge transportation cost which further helps them in optimizing their project’s overall cost.
