MB-HDS212 soil processor as the reason Rotan Services increased their business

The first MB-HDS212 working in the UK and it was delivered just a few weeks after the launch. We met with Robert Yardley during Hillhead 2022 and he told us why he bought the Shaft Screener as a soil processor. "To increase the capabilities of my business" this is the reason Robert got one of the MB’s padding buckets as part of his fleet. He only has it a few weeks and he already landed more jobs.

The choice

Off-camera Robert told us that in spring he stumbled upon le launch of the new MB crusher units of padding bucket, at first he was wondering who would use these machines. However, a little while later he had a job opportunity where the soil processor would have made the difference. The HDS was the machine that would have done the job, and he knew it. Has he made the right choice?

‘’since purchasing the bucket is also coming useful for another job that we didn't even anticipate’’  Mr Yardley is now taking jobs that were not planned and he has more lined up.

These are the moment that makes us joyous when our customer lands more jobs when they can stretch out to new opportunities

The job

The job that got Rotan Services to buy the MB-HDS212 is approximately 150tonnes of soil compost material, and the padding bucket will do it most efficiently. One operator and one excavator,  now they don't need any more persons or other units. Also, Rob said: ‘’... boosting productivity because I can give the customer exactly what they want from the ones from the HDS’’

Whats’ next

The MB-HDS212 was delivered with the kit RE16 as the need was to sift fine the soil.

Robert told us:

"The reason I bought the MB [shaft screener]was because of the interchangeable shaft system. So I can go from 8 mm to 16 to 20 to 50."

But now that they have been using the unit he is already thinking of adding new rotors to allow him to do even more. The design will permit having just one unit and interchange the rotors at the site, keeping the principle of one man one machine for many tasks. Also, he will start to process concrete, but this is a story for another day...

Stay tuned!
