‘’Use it, maintain it, and it will take care of you and your business’’
What if we told you there’s an attachment that doesn’t just get the job done—but actually pays you back with every load it processes?
That’s exactly what happened on a recycling site in Kelowna, British Columbia, where one of our BF90.3 jaw crusher turned riverbed material into high-quality aggregate in record time—with zero extra manpower and just a single machine.
Efficient? Yes. Game-changing? Absolutely.

Do you need for aggregates at a fraction of the cost?

While browsing the social channels of our local dealer, Van Ed Equipment, we spotted one of our BF90.3 jaw crusher units in action on an aggregate production site.
At the helm? Trevor Plumridge, President of Northern Constructors Ltd, a Canadian company specializing in heavy civil construction. Mr. Plumridge was generous enough to walk us through the story behind this video we saw: think about environmental restoration, wildlife protection, aggregate recycling, and... one very happy customer making the most of our attachment!
Are you using MB Crusher attachments at your site?

From riverbed material to top quality aggregate, scoop-crush & done.
In this project, Mr Plumridge explains: “We were crushing material that was hauled in to a local dump site in Kelowna. The material was from a riverbed that was repaired because the fish were having trouble getting up stream’’.
He added explained that his customer would normally spend thousands of dollars to crush material using a standard large jaw crusher. But then, he was introduced to the idea of processing 5,000 yards of riverbed material using just a heavy machine and a crusher bucket—for a fraction of the cost. Sounded interesting? Absolutely.
Do you have waste material sitting in your yard?

It only took 6 days
In just 6 days the useless 8’’ minus riverbed material was turned into 3’’ minus top aggregate to be reused or sold, with just a jaw crusher + a heavy machine. No other machinery or manpower needed.
‘’One machine the entire time’’ ensures Mr. Plumridge. ‘’The customers profit for resale of the material nearty doubled and we will be welcome back there to crush more later this year.’’
Mr Plumridge had long heard about MB Crusher products through industry peers. “Friends of mine, who run excavating companies, were satisfied’’ he says. And after trying it for years, this particular project appeared a perfect fit to run the attachment.
The crusher bucket BF90.4 is the best seller of MB Crusher’s line of jaw crushers for heavy machinery. It is suitable for any type and brand of excavator from 20t, sturdy structure, heavy duty and very easy maintenance. With reversible jaws that can be regulated through shims directly on the jobsite and very little maintenance, it can crush materials down to the desired output size.
How much does it cost?
Kelowna: remote, rugged … simply perfect!
Kelowna’s terrain is both a blessing and a challenge. Surrounded by rolling hills, pine-covered slopes, and increasingly protected natural zones, traditional construction methods involving large equipment or long-haul transport can become economically and environmentally impractical.
That’s where MB Crusher's compact, transportable, and efficient design comes into play.
Talking with Mr. Plumridge we became aware that in remote locations like theirs, it’s not just about cost — it’s about logistics. Transporting a full-size jaw crusher to a remote site is difficult and expensive. Instead, the MB Bucket crusher travels light, works fast, and helps recycle materials on-site, reducing environmental impact.
Do you have a remote hard to reach area project?
What happens to the crushed material?
Alright, so now that everyone is happy, material is crushed into aggregate … what happens next?
The material crushed in this project was destined to cap logging roads — routes that heavy-duty trucks will rely on deep in British Columbia’s forests.
“I was impressed by how the unit handled the material — it sent it through without missing a beat,” Trevor says. “It’s easy to maintain, and before we even fire it up, people are always curious to see it in action!’”
Mr. Plumridge sums it up simply but powerfully:
“Use it, maintain it, and it will take care of you and your business.”
