Company Turns Bed Rock Waste into On-Site Fill with Mobile Crusher

Sturgeon Bay, Wis. – Brauer Construction had piles of bed rock laying around its facility. In most cases, Brauer Construction would take the bed rock and fit it into a hole that was large enough to accommodate the size. Sometimes, there are no holes to be filled. And the company would place them in a quarry.

That was when Jason Brauer, owner of Brauer Construction, searched the internet for a machine that would help him get rid of his bed rock. Brauer has been with his excavation company for 18 years. When he did his search, he found the MB crusher bucket and purchased it to crush the bed rock.

We didn’t crush before. We used the rock where I would see fit. We would dump the bed rock in a quarry, or bring it to a job and bury it. We would find bigger holes to fill,” Brauer said. “We were looking for a mobile machine (when we were searching the internet).

The MB mobile crusher turns bed rock waste into fill

Now, the company crushes more than just bed rock. It crushes concrete and asphalt into fill and reusable material for roads and other projects.

I bet you I’ve used it a quarter of the time I’ve had it, so that’s twice a week,” Brauer said. “I like it. It’s great. We get more jobs because we’re doing things competitors can’t do.

Brauer Construction uses an MB crusher bucket, the BF80.3, to crush his materials and reuse them on-site. “We’re happy to help Jason at Brauer Construction! It’s great to be a part of that solution for them,” said Miriano “Max” Ravazzolo, C.E.O. of MB America, the American subsidiary of MB Crusher S.p.A. “And it’s even greater that we can provide them with a greener option to reuse the materials they crush.
